Chilli Hummus

Hummus is a middle eastern dip made from chick peas, tahini, olive oil and lemon juice. It it very quick to make and very nutritious. The tahini is the key to a successful hummus so don’t skip it.


1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons tahini
1.5 tablespoons lemon juice
1 red chilli, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 teaspoon extra hot chilli powder
Salt & freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil


1. Put everything in a food processor and blitz until it makes a smooth paste.
2. There is no step 2.
